UWC Africa Week 2018

13 June 2018

The 4th edition of UWC Africa Week has begun.

Today marks the first day of the 2018 UWC Africa Week.

UWC Africa Week is an interdisciplinary forum on African issues. The event brings together economists, captains of industry, leaders of regional organizations, artists, academics, staff and students staff of Waterford Kamhlaba.
The 2018 UWC Africa Week theme, Africa Unbound, examines the relationship between Africa and the world within the context of changing geopolitical dynamics and explores how Africa can reposition itself in relation to these dynamics.

UWC Africa Week is a student driven event. It hopes to ignite debate on socio-political and economics perspectives about Africa with a view to complicate and contextualise Africa’s various understandings. It is a platform for participants to explore African societies and examine the salient issues impacting Africa, Africans and the African Diaspora.
