About UWC Eswatini
The UWC National Committee of Eswatini is a volunteer-based organisation responsible for the recruitment and selection of Swazi students wanting to attend a United World College. Shortlisted students are placed in one of the 18 UWC schools around the world, with at least one student each year enrolling at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA.
What makes the UWC National Committee of Eswatini unique is we have the highest applicant to place ratios - given the size of Eswatini.

Fanele Chester
Fanele Chester is an alumna of UWC Red Cross Nordic and a University of Chicago graduate who has been working in education research and expanding access for over 12 years.
Fanele is the founder of The Knowledge Institute, a voluntary-based NGO which has helped people from Eswatini access higher education opportunities in Africa and beyond. She is also the co-founder of SASA (a centralised application platform for post secondary institutions in Eswatini), which won the 2021 global MIT Social Innovation Challenge.
Before joining Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA, Fanele worked for the United Nations Eswatini as a partnerships and resource mobilisation officer, and the African Leadership University.

Sifanele Dlamini
Sifanele Dlamini is the CAS Assistant at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA and also serves as the UWC NC Eswatini Records Keeper.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Eswatini and alumni from St Michael's High School, she is deeply passionate about humanitarian work and community service. Sifanele strongly advocates for the significance of giving back, as it not only provides valuable experience for future college and job applications but also helps in understanding and addressing important social issues.
Communications Officer
'Lwazi Ngwenyama
Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA class of 2011 alumna, Lwazi is the Swazi NC communications officer. After graduating from WKUWCSA, Lwazi attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine,USA, where she triple majored in Politics, Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies. Then attended the University of Cape Town for her Masters in Anthropology where she graduated in 2022. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Anthropology, also at the University of Cape Town.
Although an anthropologist by training, Lwazi has been working in fundraising, marketing and communications since graduating from Bates College.
Lwazi is the representative for Southern African NCs on the Committee of National Committees (CNC), which sits on the UWC International Council. From here, she also represents the interests of National Committees on the Nominating Committee of the UWC International Board.
"I decided to volunteer for the Swazi NC, although I am not an NC myself, because I feel the NC has the power to introduce a whole new generation of deserving Swazi students to the life of UWC. To help them open doors they never even knew existed."

Joan Ezeogu
Joan is a Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA Alumna who after a couple years of working in the private sector, joined WKUWCSA in 2022 as the Alumni Engagement Officer and excited to be connected with WKUWCSA and UWC Alumni.
With her work and volunteering experiences in youth engagement and community outreach, she is eager to pour back into a place that taught her the transformative power of community.
Originally from Nigeria, Joan was raised and educated in Eswatini and went on to graduate with a B.A in International Area Studies and B.A in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. She is passionate about helping the youth realise their dreams. Her hobbies include playing and watching Basketball and Netball as well as listening to Afrobeats.
Student Affairs Manager
Nomcebo Dlamini
My name is Nomcebo Dlamini and I am the new Student Affairs Manager for UWC Eswatini National Committee. I am both a school counselor and Life Skills teacher at Waterford Kamhlaba.
I hold an MS in School Counseling from Syracuse University, through the Fulbright Foreign Student Program (U.S Department of State). I also hold a PGDE from Solusi University in Zimbabwe. In addition, a BA in Humanities from the University of Eswatini. I have taught in both primary and secondary schools in Eswatini. I am also a mother to two lovely children,a girl and a boy.
Volunteering as the Student Affairs Manager is an extension of the post I hold currently. Care and support is an integral part of my daily duties and responsibilities and this forms the essence of a student's holistic experience at Waterford. My mandate is to offer support and guidance to students and families as they transition from one phase of the program to the next.
It is an absolute honor to serve on this committee. I look forward to learning and growing both professionally and personally.

Sebenele Ndlangamandla
UWC of South East Asia class of 2015 alumna. Currently working at Bennington College after pursuing a Liberal Arts degree in Psychology and Public Action at the Vermont located College.
"I am from rural Maphalaleni in the Hhohho region and I went to school at Our Lady of Sorrows in Hluti before going to UWCSEA in Singapore. I am passionate about self-empowerment and those around you. I am a bubbly character and ooze positivity. My current interests include photography, music and fashion; and how these three put together can make a change in our community, especially among young people."

Kgomotso Magagula
Kgomotso Magagula ,from Mbabane, in the Kingdom of Eswatini. I'm the co-coordinator of the Swazi UWC National Committee. Kgomotso attended St. Olaf College Student studying Psychology, sociology and anthropology with a concentration in Race and Ethnic studies. I am a former St. Michael's high student. I graduated from UWC Costa Rica in 2016. A former volunteer at UWCSA Waterford Kamhlaba and current admissions worker at St. Olaf College.
"I have been involved with the SWAZI national Committee since 2014 when I was selected as part of the program. UWC, not only opened doors to amazing educational experiences but changed my entire perspective on life, people, politics and the environment. I continue to invest my time in the National Committee because I strongly believe in the initiative and mission of UWC as well as the idea of creating change makers through education in the presence of deliberate diversity all which is necessary for the development of not only Swaziland but the world."
